Shaped By A Story



❓ What MOVIE most resembles the "Story" you would like to live? 

❓ What is THE STORY the Bible is trying to reveal to us?

❓ So, Who are we and Why are we here according to the Bible's Story? 


"...[4] what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? [5] Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. [6] You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority..." Psalms 8:4-6 NLT

‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 
[10] Your kingdom come. 
Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 
[11] Give us this day our daily bread. 
[12] And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13] And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. 

"Our Father..."

[3] All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 
[4] Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 
[5] God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 
[6] So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. 
[7] He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. 
[8] He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. 


"...who is in heaven..."

  • In the Bible, the heavens represent God’s dwelling place, the source of life, and the ultimate reality.
  • Although God’s presence permeates the whole universe (Ps. 36, 139), the heavens uniquely signify his dwelling place and the ultimate reality.
  • The point of the biblical story is not that humanity will one day ascend up to Heaven but that the heavenly realm will come and transform Earth.

( Mark 4:1-34 ) [35] As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.”   [36] So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed).  [37] But soon a fierce storm came up.
